July 4th Fireworks, Parades and Festivals

Cobb County and Beyond!

The 4th of July is coming up quickly!  Have you made your plans? Below is a list of top fun, family activities taking place around Cobb County and metro Atlanta this year. Have this as your primary guide as I have not re-listed every event in the SVM Macaroni Kid calendar! 

DATE: July 3
TIME: 6pm-10pm.  Fireworks start at 930pm.
WHAT: Enjoy fireworks, music, games, food, prizes, live entertainment and kids activities.  
WHERE:  Downtown Kennesaw
COST: FREE Admission

DATE: July 3
TIME: 6:30pm-10pm
WHAT: The community is invited to pack a picnic and enjoy the afternoon and evening on the lawn, with fireworks beginning at 9:45 p.m. Music from the band, Shiloh, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: The official viewing area will be located on the lawn at the Concourse Corporate Center, located at Five Concourse Parkway.
COST: No admission fee


DATE: July 4
TIME: 10am-end of fireworks
WHAT: The city of Marietta's Fourth in the Park celebration begins at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and a fireworks finale.
WHERE:  Marietta Square
COST: FREE Admission

TWO EVENTS!
WHAT:  Barrington Hall’s BBQ & Bluegrass11am to 5pmThe King family, who built Barrington Hall, held a 4th of July barbecue for their friends and neighbors in the 1800s. Revisit their tradition with live music, barbecue, beer, soft drinks and desserts for sale. A children's area will keep the youngsters occupied with games & crafts. Roswell’s Annual July 4th “Extravaganza”The City of Roswell will once again host a huge community celebration. Carnival games, food and fun. Activities include performances by Last Call Band (6:00 PM) and Banks and Shane (7:30 PM). Fireworks begin at dark.
WHERE:  BBQ& Bluegrass at Barrington Hall Grounds; July 4th Extravaganza & Fireworks at Sweetapple Elementary School.
COST: Admission is FREE

DATE: July 4
TIME: 4pm-10pm
WHAT: Festivities will feature live music, food vendors and fireworks at Cauble Park. Vendors will be open for business starting at noon, live music starts at 4:00 p.m. and fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m., weather permitting and subject to change. 
WHERE:  Cauble Park, 4415 Senator Russell Ave., Acworth
COST: FREE Admission, Tables available for reserve (fee)

TIME: 6pm-10pm
WHAT: Children's activities, entertainment, food and fireworks! 
WHERE:  Historic Town Square, 4488 Pineview Dr., Powder Springs
COST: Free and Open to the Public, VIP tables are available for purchase

TIME: 10am-10pm
WHAT: PARADE begins at 10am. There is a NEW Parade Route this year.  The Parade will begin at Woodstock Elementary and follow Main Street to Sam's Club.
FREEDOM FEST will run from 11 am-3 pm in the Park at City Center (101 Arnold Mill Road) featuring food, live music, children's games, arts and crafts and more.  
FIREWORKS will begin at dusk behind the Target shopping center at Hwy 92 and 575.

DATE: July 4
TIME: Parade (10am)  Fireworks (8:45pm)
WHAT: 4th of July fun!
WHERE: Downtown Douglasville. Parade will travel West down Church St.  Fireworks can be seen from the Arbor Place Mall parking lot.
COST: FREE Admission

DATE: July 4
TIME: 6pm-10pm
WHAT: At over 10,000 fireworks, the show has grown to become one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast. This year’s activities will include a 15-minute fireworks show, musical entertainment and food concessions. Beginning at 6 p.m., a diverse lineup of live musical entertainment will kick-off at the main stage.

TIME: 6pm-10pm
WHAT: Centennial Olympic Park’s Fourth of July Celebration will offer fun and entertainment for the entire family, including free music and the Southeast’s largest fireworks display. The celebration will be broadcast by local ABC affiliate WSB-TV, who won an Emmy for the broadcast in 2012.

DATE: July 4
TIME: 7pm - 10pm
WHAT: Celebrate the 4th of July with your family at Georgia Aquarium! Funbelievable Fourth gives Atlantans access to the city’s BEST VIEW of the Centennial Olympic Park fireworks show. Enjoy beverages and desserts in the ballroom along with games, live DJ and more, followed by fireworks.
WHERE: Georgia Aquarium’s Oceans Ballroom followed by fireworks viewing on the Aquarium parking deck room.
COST $20/$25 for non members. See website.

WHAT: 4 Night Celebration! The special patriotic fireworks finale will immediately follow the Lasershow all 4 nights. Arrive early to enjoy fun-filled attractions and special summer entertainment for the whole family.
COST: See Website for specifics. For fireworks only, pay $15 parking, however the lots do fill!

DATE: July 3 - July 5

WHAT: Nightly Fireworks Display July 3, 4 and 5 at approximately 9:30pm. Exclusive early ride time (select rides) for one hour before the park opens for all guests who bring a Coca-Cola can to the park. NEW - VIP Experience in Hurricane Harbor. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 6:30pm until dusk for the Coca-Cola VIP Experience. Dance the night away with live entertainment and view the nightly fireworks show from one of the best locations in the park.
