Homemade Pita Chips!
Macaroni Made
By: Sara-Lynne Levine, Ottawa Capital Region Macaroni Kid
I'm always looking for healthy snack options and with the kids coming home from day camp starving every day, the need was great. My mom used to make these for me and my friends and whatdoyouknow, they are still a hit.
Ingredients:
Pita (whole wheat or white, you choose)
Butter or margarine
Topping
Savory- parmesan cheese, dried basil and garlic
Sweet - cinammon and sugar
Cut pita in half so they are open face
Spread butter or margarine
Top with sweet or savory salts
Spread on a cookie sheet and cut into small bite-size pieces
Bake 10 minutes and 350 degrees
Cool and enjoy dipped in sweet yogurt or hummus!
