Travel the World With Your Passport to Puppetry!

June 10, 2010

The Center for Puppetry Arts is very generously offering a Family Four-Pack to a Summer Show of your choice to FOUR Macaroni Kid subscribers! Be one of the lucky winners. Email me at michelles@macaronikid.com with subject "Passport" by Tuesday, June 15th at 10am and I will pick 4 winners at random that morning. Please include your name AND a phone number where you can be reached. In order to guarantee winners the opportunity to see the show of their choice, if chosen, you must respond by Wednesday the 16th at 5pm, or I will pick another winner. Why "Passport" you say? Read about the center's new Passport to Puppetry program below! Want more chances to win? For every new subscriber you refer to Macaroni Kid, you'll receive 2 additional entries (and you'll be given credit in the new subscriber drive contest automatically as well). Just make SURE they include your name in the "How Did You Hear About Us" box when they subscribe ("Friend" doesn't help!).

This summer, Center for Puppetry Arts is holding a “Passport to Puppetry” program. Not only are this summer’s shows performed by puppetry troupes from all over the country, the stories they tell will take you all the way from the rainforest to the high seas. By using your Passport to Puppetry you can collect prizes just for coming to see these magical performances. To participate, all you have to do is CLICK HERE to download your Passport to Puppetry, see some enchanting puppet performances, and paste your ticket stubs inside of your Passport! Once you reach three shows you can start collecting awesome prizes like finger puppets, vouchers for Museum tours, Museum store gift certificates, and free show tickets! The prizes are cumulative, so the more shows you see the more prizes you get.

Shows that remain in the Passport to Puppetry program include "The Lion, the Mouse & Other Aesop’s Fables," by Red Herring Puppets of Fairview, NC, "Hansel and Gretel," by Tanglewood Marionettes of Ware, MA, "Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stuff," by All Hands Productions of Atlanta, GA, "Everybody Loves Pirates," by Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers of Bar Harbor, ME, and "Rumpelstiltskin," performed by the Center’s own company of puppeteers.
