SVM Macaroni Kid - Your Weekly Events & Activities Newsletter For This Area & Beyond!

Tonight's baseball practice - rained out. And unfortunately the forecast for this weekend doesn't look too nice either. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed because it's festival time, and if you check this week's picks you'll see how many great outdoor events are happening around town - including The Big Shanty Festival in Kennesaw, The Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park, Party for the Planet at Zoo Atlanta (Earth Day celebration) and Movie Night Saturday at Taylor Brawner Park. Rain, rain go away!  As much as I complain about the pollen, I always wish for sunny weekends in April. Here's to hoping!  However, should events be rained out, there's still a ton of fun things going on, including the Earth Day festivities at Georgia Aquarium on Sunday. Also, and this is fairly new, Home Depot's Cumberland store now offers its free kids' workshop on the third Saturday of every month in addition to the first! Note - this is ONLY at the Cumberland location. There's no set theme - when you get there, choose from the activity sets they have available! Of course just scroll down to This Week's Picks and you'll find the list of everything happening around town!

It's hard to believe that there are only five weeks left of school. I need to practice what I preach and get my registration forms for camps turned in!  Don't forget to look through our CAMP GUIDE for ideas if you're still searching. Especially since we have some discount offers especially for Macaroni Kid readers!

Happy Earth Day and enjoy the rest of your week!
