May Days With SVM Macaroni Kid!

It's May. Really. Drew is counting down the days until summer break. Twenty-two days! I'm kind of in shock. I think when the pool opens it will feel more real to me. I have managed to get my ducks in a row - somewhat. I know what we're doing this summer (minus a day here or there). I know I'll be doing a lot of driving from camp to camp, since we'll be trying out a variety of the offerings listed in our Summer Camp Directory! And I know that there will be QUITE a lot of travel too - some of it just for me! That's exciting (and scary), and I'll talk more about that in a few weeks. I'll be hitting you guys up for travel advice for the cruise I'm taking to Stockholm, St. Petersburg, and more. Once in a lifetime...

This weekend my husband and I are headed to Hilton Head for a friend's wedding. After some debate, we opted to leave the kids at home - otherwise they'd miss school Monday and lots of baseball events. And honestly, we haven't had much alone time lately! So THANK YOU Scott and Trisha for agreeing to take on your nephews for the long weekend. The "How To Manage Two Boys When The Parents Are Away" guide will be coming to you shortly. Ignore last week's lead article. My children are always perfect angels!

After the last two weeks of spring festivals, I was surprised to see just how much is still happening THIS weekend! Well, it's Cinco de Mayo for one. RIP my sweet dog Cuervo. We always had a celebration, and I'll be having a drink in his honor. YOU could go to Centennial Olympic Park for Fiesta Atlanta. Or stay in Cobb County for May-retta Daze, the Yaarab Shrine Circus, Helicopter Day at the Marietta Museum of History, Taste of East Cobb, and so much more. Saturday is also FREE COMIC BOOK DAY for comic book fans. Visit the national website to find a participating store near you.
