I'm on day two - no caffeine. No coffee, no Cherry Coke. UGH. So this will be super short because I'm about to fall on top of my keyboard - which is kind of the point. Getting rid of the caffeine is step one to putting an end to my insomnia. Of course if I can't work at midnight, I'm not sure when I'll get anything done...

I have a mid-year resolution to get healthier - sleep more (really), eat better (instead of coffee in the morning I'm having a Shakeology shake each day with fruit and yogurt added), and when I get past the initial exhaustion, I'll start exercising again. My main goal is to get my energy back! Working at home has its benefits - but being able to see your office from your bedroom (or vice-versa) is not one of them. Next week, hopefully I'll be more alert.

You'll notice there are a LOT of events - more than usual - in this week's issue. Most libraries took programming breaks in May to gear up for summer events. You'll see quite a few of those events and reading program kickoffs listed here. For Cobb County, make sure to check the calendar HERE for events at all libraries (Click the tab for either For Teens or For Kids). And to stay up to date with the Smyrna Library, CLICK HERE.

SVM Macaroni Kid will have a table at Town Center at Cobb's Simon Kidgits Club Event on Saturday. Stop by and see Amanda for tattoos, stickers and coloring pages as Kidgits holds "When I Grow Up" mini career day from 1pm to 3pm! (See This Week's Picks for more information.)

Congrats to the winners of last week's giveaways: For Jackie Evancho, Tricia M.; For a Kroger Gift Card (Atlanta Food Truck article): Liz A.

Have a great week! We're taking our first summer weekend road trip...can't wait to get on a boat!
