The lady doth protest too much...methinks I shouldn't have opened my mouth about our very cool June weather! Hello summer! I just looked at the forecast for the next few days and by Saturday, 105 degrees is predicted. I'm glad we have plans to be indoors! Even the pool is not appealing under those conditions. Take it easy if you're going to be outside...this is dangerous heat. I'm hopeful it will cool down at least a little bit in time for next Wednesday's Fourth of July festivities! Below is a list of area events for the 4th (and in some cases the 3rd...). Click on the link to take you to the event site. Congrats to the winners of last week's Mega Giveaways! There were a record number of entries for the Legoland passes...I believe the heat had everyone looking for a way to get indoors! Winners are: Legoland - Lisa Craig!; Super WHY LIVE! Tour - Lori Anne Collins; and the Benbini Watch - Shelley Bell. Enjoy! Also, thanks to all who visited The Children's Museum on Sunday for Macaroni Kid Day. Congratulations to Jacquie W. - Jacquie won an annual membership to museum.
