Does your little one want to learn piano? Or maybe your tween wants to sing like Taylor Swift, while your teen wants to “rock the house” with his guitar or drums?  Welcome to The Music Studio at Vinings where they can handle all your musical needs, with fun but professional teachers at a very competitive price! See below in blue for a great discount offer!

As Atlanta’s Premier In-Home Music and Education service for the last 22 years, Courtnay and Rowe has taught thousands of students in the greater Atlanta area.  And they’ve been asked many times over the years to have a location, and since the Courtnay and Rowe families have lived in the Smyrna/Vinings area for years, they were thrilled to start a studio right here in our backyard!

The family consists of Marilyn and Jack Courtnay (mom and Dad) daughters Ariane Courtnay Crumley and Cecilia Courtnay Rowe, and husband Sean Rowe, and many wonderful hand-selected teachers they call family as well.

In their attractive new studio (The Music Studio at Vinings), they offer music lessons in most all instruments seven days a week: piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, brass and woodwinds. They are also offering great morning, afterschool and weekend classes like Mini Mozarts Infant to Pre-K Program, Piano Prep for 5 year olds, Etiquette workshops, Audition Mastery (a leg up for your budding school actors & actresses) and more. They even have a recording studio that is open to the students and the public, with very affordable pricing on different sized recording packages, and even do birthdays! What a great idea for presents – a recording of your child to give to grandparents and relatives or as a keepsake for yourself.

Another fun thing they offer is Open Mic nights for their students at the Rowe’s St. Angelo’s Pizza, about 3/4 of a mile down from the studio, on S. Atlanta Road.  Any level and any instrument can perform, and many families come to enjoy the great food and drink and precious performances of all ages.  Cecilia Rowe adds, “It’s great to have a fun, family dinner, but the best byproduct of Open Mic is the children being able to get performance experience in a warm, friendly atmosphere and that certainly gives them a leg up when auditioning for musicals at school, end of year recitals, or even speaking in front of a crowd.”

If you have been around any members of their family, you will know that they are avid believers in the “power of positive thinking” and therefore impart a totally different teaching philosophy than most music instructors.  Although they expose their students to the vast variety of music available, they then allow them the choice of the type of music they want to learn.  It’s great that they feel you can learn music from some of these fabulous new artists just as you can from the old masters. Because of this philosophy and their stellar reputation, they’ve been fortunate to attract many of the finest teachers.

Their goal is a happy student! They feel that happy students will learn and practice, and more importantly, will always remember their lessons with fond memories and forever keep the love of music.  Sean Rowe says that their whole family loves hearing from previous students sharing the news that they are taking an instrument with them to college, singing with their children or just still playing music for their own enjoyment!  They even have several students that have graduated from college and come back to teach with them!
