This clever firefly is a fun craft that kids can make with a 1 liter soda bottle and a glow stick. The kids and I made one while camping and they loved it- especially at night.
You will need:
1- Glow stick
1- 1-liter soda bottle with lid rinsed and dried (remove label)
1- paper cut into the shape of a large heart
2- strips of paper
2- small buttons for eyes
2- pipe cleaners
Glue and tape for assembly

STEP 3:
Take 1 pipe cleaner and wrap it around the neck of bottle and shape
into antennas. Then take the other pipe cleaner and cut into 4 equal
pieces for legs. Tape or glue them to the bottom of the bottle.

STEP 4:
After the glue has dried, break glow stick so it lights and place inside the bottle, then replace the cap, with the eyes positioned up.
And then you're done!

The kids will have so much fun playing with them in the dark! Our kids were running all around the campsite playing tag in the dark with them.
