Welcome to October! I thought I'd never get this week's edition done. There are so many fun events happening in town and within an hour from home, I've done my best to include as much as possible. Make sure to read the PLAN AHEAD section so that you can do just that - purchase tickets now or at least mark your calendars for what's ahead. Just today the ASO announced "An Evening with John Williams, Steven Spielberg and The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra" - a truly amazing show which will take place on Wednesday Oct. 24th. Get your tickets now because they won't be available for long.

Right now our lives are all about little league baseball, major league baseball (I'll be at the Braves vs. Cardinals Wild Card game Friday night), more little league baseball and soccer. The boys will be going to LEGOLAND on Sunday with friends (make sure to read about Brick-or-Treat in This Week's Picks & how you can get Kids GO FREE tickets!). Ken and I will be celebrating his birthday at Taste of Atlanta. I'm sure our kids would love that too, but I'm looking forward to a "relaxing day" of eating everything in sight - at least until I fall over! Then I need to get going on next week's issue so that I can take Jack to DISNEY ON ICE Wednesday at Philips Arena (tickets still available - discount info in the Steals & Deals article!). Also in Steals & Deals, lookout for the 30% off discount for Stone Mountain Park Pumpkin Festival. Just read it...And finally, even if you don't enter to win tickets to Atlanta Botanical Gardens for Scarecrows in the Garden, do make sure to check out the picture of our very own Macaroni Mama in the article. You just have to see it!

I have a feeling I'll continue to add events throughout the weekend so check back in. These next few months are busy, busy, busy and there's definitely something for everyone. Big kids too!

Also, next week is National Fire Prevention Week. If you have school-aged children I'm sure you've seen flyers and coloring books coming home. Drew is going on a field trip to Cobb Safety Village tomorrow. Here's an ARTICLE after the events about fire prevention.

WINNERS! Congrats to the winner's of last week's giveaways. So many of you won tickets to Star 94's Little Black Dress Party that I'm not going to list names here - I posted them on FB! Congrats to Marie S. who is hopefully enjoying opening night of CHICAGO tonight at Cobb Energy Centre (Thursday); And to Jennifer G. who won tickets to Sleeping Beauty at Center For Puppetry Arts (Final Weekend).

Also, welcome to our many new subscribers who attended the CCC MOPS Consignment Sale last weekend. Many thanks to the organizers for letting me set up a table. And my kids had a field day shopping for toys (of course!).

Have a fabulous weekend!
