This Week's Smyrna Vinings Marietta Macaroni Kid

Welcome to Atlanta weather! I just finished writing my article about our ski trip to Beech Mountain, NC last weekend. And then I went to check the weather for Atlanta THIS weekend - 70 degrees! Go figure. Either we get an ice storm this time of year, or spring-like conditions. I've yet to light a fire in my fireplace - but the chimney sweep company is coming out tomorrow. I don't imagine we'll be having hot chocolate by the fire this weekend however. We'll finally have a chance to take down our holiday decorations though! We've been out of town the last three weekends, and I think it's probably time to put Rudolph and his sleigh away. Oh well, the realities of "winter" have set in.

So maybe this weekend we'll grill out instead of cooking chili inside. And that's just fine by me...I don't mind it a bit.

With that said, be sure to read my article below about Beech Mountain Resort. Our first family ski trip was a huge success, and the resort is offering some great deals for January. They always have snow!

This weekend we plan to do some much needed home organizing. A spring cleaning of sorts - my New Year's resolution to get this house in order!
