Forefront Arts will be offering Summer Drama Camps for ages 3-14 featuring "The Jungle Book" and "Alice in Wonderland" throughout the summer at various locations.

Our smallest performers (ages 3-5) can take part in an exciting half-day Creative Dramatics camp. Each day we'll do warm-ups, play theatre games, make up stories, sing and dance to music, create costumes and props for the show, and practice for our big performance on Friday night!

Performance Campers in 1st-8th grade will get to experience the entire production rehearsal process: auditions to find the perfect role for each student, blocking rehearsals, character development, memorizing lines, music and dance rehearsals, and finally, performing the show for an audience of family and friends!

In addition to rehearsing the show campers will play fun theatre games, learn warm-ups, and do crafts. The camp will expose students to many aspects of live theatre including movement, music, blocking, theatrical makeup, and set and costume design. Both novice and experienced performers are welcome. We’ll work and play hard all week and perform a great show on Friday for family and friends.

Our instructors are professional actors, singers and dancers with years of experience teaching kids and teens.

ABOUT THE SHOWS

The Jungle Book

The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz is this exciting Disney classic! Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney tunes, like “The Bare Necessities,” and “I Wan’na Be Like You.” With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, Disney's "The Jungle Book" is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages!

Alice in Wonderland
In this adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic, Alice meets a hurried White Rabbit, swims in a sea of her tears, confronts a Caterpillar and questions a grinning Cheshire cat, all in an effort to find out what kind of place she has happened into. Along the way she attends a Mad Hatter’s tea party, learns to dance from a Mock Turtle, plays an unusual game of croquet, and finally challenges the outcome of the Knave’s trail with the Queen of Hearts. Featuring a variety of Wonderland characters, this stage play is a great opportunity for young actor to stretch their characterization skills!

PARENT REVIEWS

"I was SUPER nervous about sending my young 3 year old (to camp) last year and she LOVED Forefront Arts and has been talking about her performance all year!!! I just couldnt believe the impact it has had on her."

"For any of the moms out there Forefront is excellent I highly recomend them. My daughter is 7 and we enrolled her to help her overcome a fear of public speaking. To say she is over that fear is an understatement. Now she wants to act and sing. Thank you again for your care and teaching of Belle."
