Seriously, how fun is this?

All across the country, Baby Loves Disco is slowly but surely transforming the hippest night clubs into childproof discos as toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents look for a break from the routine playground circuit to let loose for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun. Make no mistake, this is NOT the Mickey Mouse club, and Barney is Banned. Baby Loves Disco is an afternoon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by djs blending classic disco tunes From the 70s & 80s guaranteed to get those little booties moving and grooving.

Baby Loves Disco hits Atlanta on Sunday, Nov. 7th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at The Loft in Midtown (1374 West Peachtree Street). I can't wait to bring my family - I guess we'll have to see if the boys decide to get their groove on. If not, there's no shortage of activities to keep them busy - arts & crafts, bubble machines, kid tattoos (you'll likely find me at that table so come and say hi), a chill-out room (with tents, books and puzzles), diaper changing stations, a full spread of healthy snacks and much more. FYI, the event is recommended for kids 6 mos to 6 years.

I've got tickets for one of you too. I have one family 4-pack of tickets available to a Smyrna Vinings Marietta Macaroni Kid subscriber. Want to win? Here's how:

Baby Loves Disco is a community event that brings kids together with kids and parents together with parents. Started by professional dancer (and professional mom) Heather Murphy, the idea was to create an alternative to the pre-packaged world of entertainment for young kids. “We’re parents, we’re always looking for something new and different to do with the kids,” says Murphy whose lifestyle (like most of the baby disco parents) was changed when she gave birth to her 4-year-old son Max.

Tickets for Baby Loves Disco are $20 each, or $60 for a family four-pack (non-walkers get in free). To purchase, CLICK HERE.

The monthly event, which started in Philadelphia where it has sold out club Fluid since inception, caught the ear of Brooklyn-based music guy Andy Hurwitz, who brought the party up to New York City in the fall of 2005: “My kids had a blast, but the real bonus was that my wife and I had a great time too,” said Hurwitz, founder of ropeadope records and father of two young boys. He added, “It’s more than just something to do for the kids, Baby Loves Disco is fun for parents, we get the chance to mingle with other parents, dance with our kids and have a Saturday afternoon cocktail to boot.”

By the fall of 2006 Baby Loves Disco had spread coast to coast and now takes place in over 21 cities. The tour is presented by H&M (and goody bags will be handed out to all families at the event)! Visit http://www.hm.com

Emerging from a front yard lemonade stand of Cancer patient Alex Scott, Alex's Lemonade Stand is a foundation "fighting cancer one cup at a time." Standing out from other childhood cancer foundations is that Alex's Lemonade Stand is not only for the funding of childhood cancer research, they also provide grants to fund lodging and travel expenses in advance for families on the front line of the battle.
