Atlanta Braves' Tim Hudson Gives Advice

Giveaways: Braves Pack & Tri-Cross Games

March 11, 2010

Smyrna Little League starts this week, and not only is my son Drew playing Tee Ball for the first time, but my husband is coaching the team. I thought that it might be nice for parents to get some pointers from someone who really knows baseball, and I was thrilled that Atlanta Braves’ star pitcher Tim Hudson was willing to do an interview for us. You’ll find the complete Q&A in the article section below, along with information on how to enter our giveaway for Braves' tickets and an autographed photo of Tim. Just this week Tim was named "Sports Person of the Year" by the Atlanta Sports Council. Who better to talk about sportsmanship?

In the spirit of games, I've also included an article & giveaway for a new board game called Tri-Cross. Created by an Atlanta father-son duo, the game is becoming so popular, schools are purchasing it for their after-school clubs. Tri-Cross is being hailed by editors as the "New Chess." See below for more details. I'm giving away 2 of these games.

And how about this for a game? Trying "Cooking with Math" as described by Bridget Cleary of Smyrna's Mathnasium. I'm sure we could all use a little measuring help now and again in the kitchen.

Finally, next week our theme is related to princesses. Just something to keep in mind!
