East Marietta National Little League is Gearing Up For a Great Season!

Opening Day is February 28

East Marietta National Little League is gearing up for a great 2015 baseball season!

You never know what might happen next at EMNLL… last year we attended the new Braves stadium groundbreaking, had some Minor Braves players come to our park to work with our players and had our fields redone. We do know boys and girls ages 4 – 16 from Marietta, Sandy Springs, Kennesaw and Acworth have fun playing great baseball here.

Reasons we love to play baseball at East Marietta? We’ve got plenty!

•    Newly renovated fields at Sewell Park (and playground!)
•    Professionally-trained coaches to teach and train the fundamentals
•    Field time – plenty of practice and game time available
•    Family atmosphere
•    Discount for multi-sibling families
•    We don’t begin before 6pm on weekdays
•    Events and activities throughout the season
•    Reasonable cost
•    The current “Bring a friend” promotion can get you $100 credit!
•    We are the only official Little League charter in East Cobb

For 75 years Little League has established a proud, rich history in the hearts and minds of ball players and their families. Little League promotes a healthy balance of community-based activities through regular season play among local teams and access to the world’s largest youth baseball tournament – the Little League International Tournament. East Marietta National Little League has been represented at the tournament more than once. Our 1983 team won the Little League World Series, and in 2012 an East Marietta player, Braeden Swilley, was voted “Little League Good Sport of the Year” and received his award during the World Series.

The outcome of a game will never outlive the pride of belonging, the experience of playing, the friends and the fun. The essence of Little League is the people, their communities, and the everlasting bond between them.

Research suggests that both playing and watching sports ultimately make us happier. We love rooting for the underdogs! Getting involved with a team as a kid can help with depression risk and low self-esteem, and team sports help teach communication and cooperation while preparing kids for challenges. You can find baseball anywhere, you can find a baseball family at East Marietta where we promote good sportsmanship, commitment, and love of baseball while creating lifelong friendships.
