I was recently sent samples of Sport Suds to review. This eco-friendly laundry detergent promises to not only get your clothes clean, but to rid them of lingering odors. I've been using it for about a week now, and I can tell you, I'm sold!!
I've always used fragrance-free detergents. However, I definitely have noticed that while stains may come out, there is often a lingering smell. I'd resorted to buying scented dryer sheets to help mask those odors.
This product couldn't have come to me at a better time. We've been at the baseball fields daily for practice and ugh - if the red clay ground-in dirt isn't bad enough, the smell of my boys' clothes when they get home could knock anyone off their feet! I discovered another product for getting baseball pants to their original white color - Stain Solver - an organic, non-toxic cleaner that can be used for about anything! But it's not an everyday detergent. (It's great to soak those clay-stained pants in though.) So now that I have Sports Suds, I'm in great shape all around.

I didn't realize that my clothes weren't really getting clean before - though I should have, since they didn't smell all that fresh (if I'd been using a detergent with fragrance, I might not have noticed at all). Another approach is to eliminate odors by killing active bacteria using peroxide based or similar chemicals. This can be effective albeit, potentially temporary when fresh bacteria are attracted to chemical remnants and other food sources that remain embedded in the clothes fabric.
Sport Suds laundry detergent attacks odor at the root by physically removing bacteria and their food source; leaving nothing behind except for a clean fabric fiber. With no food source and an absolutely clean fiber, there is no odor. As an added benefit, with nothing but a clean fiber, future habitation by bacteria is hindered resulting in longer lasting, fresher fabrics."

This really is a miracle product and I'm thrilled I was introduced to it! Not only does it get the offending odors out of clothes, it really does get them clean.
Sport Suds comes in a variety of different types of packaging. Yes, it's more expensive than your everyday grocery store-bought detergent - but with these results, I'm sold.
