Thank You Dryel! A Solution For Cleaning Toys & More!

April 10, 2015
I thought we might be out of the stuffed animal stage by now. But we're not. Far from it, it seems. One day not too long ago, Jack staged every one of his stuffed animals and took their "portraits" with his iPad. There had to be at least 100 of them.  Most of the animals are kept either on his bed, or under his bed (the fun cave). And I've never really thought about cleaning them unless there's a spill or some other accident happens.

But yuck! Talk about a germ factory. I received information from Dryel on how it was the perfect product to get those stuffed animals clean. Interesting! And I quickly responded, yes please, send me a sample!

I used to use Dryel once upon a time, to clean clothes I couldn't wash normally, or to get bad smells out (like smoke)! It just kind of fell of my radar.  But I'm so glad to have been reintroduced to the product. Because I'm not only cleaning my kids' toys with it, I have started cleaning my own clothes instead of sending them to the dry cleaner. And that's a money saver. The Dryel kit comes with a Booster Spray (like a spot cleaner) in addition to the cleaning cloths that go inside the dryer bags. So far, it's worked wonderfully and saved me a lot of money too. The product is ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. It contains no phosphate, PERC, or trichloroethylene.

So...back to the stuffed animals. Your child’s favorite stuffed animal may be exactly what the doctor ordered for a good night’s sleep. But, they may be exactly the thing that brings you to the doctor in the first place!

Think about it: That fuzzy teddy bear or kitty has gone everywhere with her since the day she was born: school, play dates, the backyard…even the bathroom. After all that, it’s no wonder that Mr. Cuddles is not-so-cuddly anymore. Getting him clean isn’t as simple as a ride in the washing machine. Stuffed animals are notoriously hard to dry out, which can make them a haven for mold and bacteria. What’s a parent to do?
Skip the washer and use your *dryer* instead.

The Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaner is perfect for getting stuffed animals looking like new. All you have to do is put the filthy, fuzzy ones in the Dryel bag and toss them in the dryer. Using a blend of unique, biodegradable ingredients and the power of steam, Dryel turns any dryer into a miniature dry cleaner. In 30 minutes, they’ll be clean and dry, without any stretching or shrinking. Plus, the Dryel On the Go stain remover pen is great for getting out smaller spots. So, whether it’s for dozens of stuffed animals or that one favorite friend, parents can look to Dryel to keep them lasting a long time.

I tried it and I loved it. The toys smell clean. They ARE clean. And I need to get some Dryer refills now!
