A couple of years ago, my oldest child had a party at Sparkles. Although Sparkles is known primarily as a skating venue, he actually had no interest in that! But they also had 3D Laser Tag, a climbing playground and an arcade. It was a good place for boys and girls both, and he wanted to invite his class. So while he never even got on roller skates, the party was a huge success.
We arrived early and Jack had the rink to himself!
Jump to present, and my younger son was trying to decide where he wanted to have a party, and he told me Sparkles Kennesaw! Over the last year, both of my boys have taken up rollerblading. Now they absolutely LOVE to skate. So Jack wanted a skating party (and at Sparkles you can use their roller skates or bring your own skates/blades). It's really a great place for girls and boys, and there are enough activities to make any kid happy - even those who don't skate!
The staff at Sparkles makes everything SO easy. Basically, I showed up with my cake. Pizza and drinks are part of the birthday packages, as are all necessary paper goods. Plus every child receives a $3 arcade card. You can choose one activity (say skating - or just the climbing center). Or all of them. Sparkles has 2 or 3 or 4 activity packages as well. Have a party for your tiny tot (only $139 for ages 5 and younger). Or try a Cosmic Party for your older child (after 7:00pm). There's a huge variety of packages to choose from. If you want to go big, you can go really big at Sparkles Kennesaw with a VIP Experience Party - plus add a character meet and greet and make it a real adventure! Many thanks to Sparkles for providing Jack with this ultimate experience for his birthday. It's one he'll never forget!
I really didn't think the VIP space would be that big of a deal - until we took it over! It was nice to have everyone in one defined area - especially when Darth Vadar came to meet the kids, and light sabre wars ensued! These kids had a blast - they loved the playground (ages 10 & under); unlimited 3D Laser Tag was great fun. Skating of course was a favorite - and for those new to skating Sparkles has what looks like "walkers" on wheels to assist. During the party time, the kids had pizza and cake, played trivia and then enjoyed their time with Darth Vadar. The light sabres they were given were a HUGE hit. (Literally - you had to watch your back). Goodie bags were provided for all kids, as well as arcade cards so they could play some games. Many kids did stay for a full four hours. It was a rainy day, and we definitely did!
Of course, you don't have to have a VIP Experience to have a great party. Pick an activity, invite a few friends, and enjoy.
