and friends.

the in’s and out’s of printmaking. Experiment with block printing,

Mini Masterpieces
Take
a look at the large and the small of the art world. Get to know every
inch of the High by looking closely and taking a step back—it’s all
about perspective! Campers will create large-scale works of art and tiny
masterpieces, paying close attention to details. We’ll learn about
scale, perspective, proportion, and optical illusions.
JUNE 17–21
Material World
Art Scavengers
Did
you know that you can make art out of bottle caps and flip flops? Art
materials go way beyond paint and marble! Campers will explore the
High’s collection, looking for unexpected materials and everyday objects
used in new ways. We will explore a variety of creative materials,
including household items, recyclables, found objects, wire, paint, and
cardboard to create our own 2-D and 3-D masterpieces.
JUNE 24–28
Living Color
Mystery Colors and Rainbow Makers
Where
do colors come from? What is the role of light? Campers will explore
the High’s collection and then create a rainbow of artworks in different
media. We will learn about color theory, the color wheel, and mixing
