Yard House is Now Open at The Battery Atlanta

A New Destination for Food and Fun in Cobb County

By Jenna Dennisur, Assistant Editor April 12, 2017

This past weekend I was invited to attend the private opening party for Yard House, located in The Battery Atlanta,  Cobb County’s new lifestyle destination located just outside of the new Braves’ SunTrust Park stadium. Yard House officially opened its doors to the public last Saturday after the party. They had an amazing turnout - there was barely a place to sit!

The Battery Atlanta includes a variety of great restaurants with outdoor seating, a beautiful water fountain with colored lights, trendy shops, luxury apartments, hotels, office buildings, bars, and an awesome view of the stadium.

The house crafted cocktails at Yard House are great. My favorite is the Brazilian Lemonade (cruzan citrus rum, cointreau, lemonade, monin mojito, fresh lemon & mint). The Sangria and the Hawaiian Five O are also very good. If you drink beer, the word is they have the world’s biggest selection of draft beers (over 130 taps). Yard House even has an app to download, so that you can track and rate all the beers you try during every visit.

The food was fantastic also. We tried a variety of things, but my favorite was the swordfish tacos (cabbage, cilantro, cumin crema, pico de gallo, guacamole, mango & papaya). Another popular dish is the Korean Barbeque Beef (marinated, boneless short ribs with aloha sauce). There's a kids menu too, which features more than just the usual "chicken nuggets and pizza" - that Korean Barbeque Beef and grilled chicken are available in kids' portions too.

The staff was very friendly and handled the big crowd very well for the first night. The venue itself is really nice too. It has booth, bar, and regular table seating, as well as outdoor seating area and an outdoor bar with an amazing view.

I’m very excited that we have even more great food and entertainment options in Cobb county - and I don’t  have to drive far or get on the highway to enjoy them. The Battery Atlanta is going to be a great destination 365 days a year - not only on game days. I can’t wait to have a babysitter again so that I can go back!

A note about parking: The Battery Atlanta is open for business, both for game days and non-game days. If you’re planning to visit the retail and shops there, like YardHouse, you can park at the Red Deck. On non game days, parking is free for up to four hours. After 2 p.m. on game days, parking is free for two hours before fees begin, with a maximum fee of $50. If you spend a minimum of $50 in The Battery Atlanta, you can receive validation for your parking.
