2017 Free and Cheap Summer Movies

Summer is a great time to catch a movie - either as part of a FREE outdoor series, or a $1 movie as part of summer kid series. Here's a list to keep you busy this summer!

REGAL SUMMER MOVIE EXPRESS
Starts June 6. Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1. Tickets available for purchase at the box office and all movies start at 10:00 am. Each week both movies play on both days. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute. Includes the following theatres (see website for the full list in Georgia):

GEORGIA THEATRE COMPANY 2017 SUMMER KID SHOW SERIES
Series will run from Tuesday, June 6th to Thursday, July 27th. One feature will play each week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Features start promptly at 10:00am and doors open at 9:15am. Participating locations include Park 12 Cobb in Marietta. Admission: $1.50 Drinks: $1.50 Popcorn: $1.50

A budget friendly entertainment option for families- $1 screenings of recent, popular, children films.Please note: Varies by location based on each school district's summer schedules.  See website/ check your theatre for the schedule. Begins May 29, 2017. Movies play Monday - Friday at 11 a.m. Admission is $1.

Nothing says summertime like watching your favorite movie under the stars and in the glow of the Atlanta skyline! Movies in Central Park runs Thursday evenings - this year they are going 90s! Blankets and chairs are allowed. Feel free to make this the ultimate picnic by bringing your own grub or grabbing food from your favorite Atlantic Station restaurant beforehand.

B at the Movies is back all summer long! Join us for free family movies under the stars at parks all over the Atlanta area. For most events, the fun starts at 7:30pm and movies start at dusk. For Double Features on June 3 and July 22, the fun starts at 5:30pm, the first movie will begin at 7pm, and second movie will begin at approximately 9:15pm.

FLICKS AT TECH
Georgia Tech's favorite summer film series is back in 2017 as Flicks at Tech! The Georgia Tech Student Center and Georgia Tech Athletics have partnered to host the series (formerly Dodd After Dark), which will include three films in various locations across campus.

June 9 - Moana at Bobby Dodd Stadium - gates open at 7pm, screening begins at 8pm. 
June 23 - Hidden Figures on Tech Green - screening begins after dusk, approximately 9pm.
July 7 - Beauty & The Beast on Tech Green - screening begins after dusk, approximately 9pm

July 15 - (Rescheduled) Hidden Figures on Tech Green - screening begins after dusk, approximately 9pm. 

DOLLAR THEATRE
