SUMMER CAMP SPOTLIGHT: Stone Summit Climbing Camp in Kennesaw

3 Reasons Why Parents Send Their Kids to Climbing Camp

April 25, 2019

Childhood wouldn’t be the same without that classic camp experience. You made friendships, faced challenges, and met role models. Stone Summit invites you to give that same camp experience to your kids. We love camp because it helps kids...

1. Realize their potential

Those 60-foot climbing walls seem like giants on Monday. By Friday, kids feel like they can take on the world. Camp helps us realize our potential, striking that balance between fun and getting outside of our comfort zone. That’s when we make memories and grow as people. That’s what a camp experience is all about and keeps us coming back.

2. Try new things

The same-old-same-old is no longer the same when you get to camp. New friends. New challenges. New opportunities. Most kids haven’t tried climbing outside a short wall at a carnival. Climbing camp literally gives you a new view of the world from 60 feet up. Is your kid a returning camper? You’ll find coaches who help them set new goals and make new friends.

3. Be around positive role models

We loved our camp counselors growing up, sometimes becoming one when we got older. It’s exciting to see your kid run up and high-five their coach and share on the ride home how they want to be like them. You’ll find coaches who are passionate about coming alongside your kid as a friend and mentor. Remember, we can remember what it was like to look up to someone.
