Pigtails & Crewcuts is now open in Smyrna and ready to make haircuts fun and memorable for families in the surrounding area. Husband Will and wife Bonnie own the salon and as Smyrna residents, the Howards are excited to join their local business community and look forward to meeting their new customers. “I can’t wait to see their smiles,” Will shares. “Kids are so much fun!”
Will saw the Pigtails & Crewcuts difference firsthand while he and Bonnie were training with the franchise at its Buckhead salon. When a grandmother brought her granddaughter to the salon for her first haircut, the child was crying. During the haircut, Will stepped in to help the stylist calm her fears. “We blew bubbles and did other fun things to help calm her down,” Will shares. “She was smiling by the end. Her grandma looked at me and said ‘This is awesome!’” he recalls.
Bubbles are just one of the tricks Pigtails & Crewcuts salons use to help kids enjoy their haircuts. Each salon is brightly colored and features vehicle-shaped chairs, books, movies, video games, and plenty of toys to keep kids occupied before, during, and after their haircuts. Salons also feature a retail section filled with children’s hair products, accessories, and gifts, as well as a birthday party services with a dedicated party room.
“I like that it’s for kids and takes something that can be stressful and overwhelming and turn it into a positive experience,” says Will. “I love that Pigtails & Crewcuts cares as much for the parents as they do for the kids,” Bonnie adds. “We give parents a chance to sit and relax and watch their kids interact with other children and adults while the children experience a great haircut. We’re able to turn it into something they all look forward to.”
Pigtails & Crewcuts - Smyrna is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sundays from noon to 5 pm.
