Teenage actress, Miranda Cosgrove, best known for her hit series on Nickelodeon, iCarly, launched her music career in 2007, when she scored a hit with the theme song to her own show. A soundtrack album was released in June 2008, in which she performed four songs. Cosgrove’s debut album Sparks Fly was released in April, 2010.
Cosgrove has appeared in several commercials as well as the pilot episode of Smallville, making her breakthrough in 2002 when she played the role of Summer Hathaway in the film School of Rock, a comedy hit starring Jack Black. In the wake of School of Rock’s success, she was cast in a supporting role on the children’s television sitcom Drake & Josh (as Drake and Josh’s kid sister, Megan Parker), which was broadcast by Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2008. iCarly came next...
Miranda Cosgrove will be performing at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park on Wednesday, August 31st at 7pm (Note: Due to a recent tour bus accident, some shows have been postponed. As of now, this show remains on the schedule! If the show is for any reason canceled, it will be rescheduled and tickets will be good for the new date.)
