WIN 2 TIX to "Motherhood The Musical", Mar 16th

Hit Show Returns to Atlanta's 14th Street Playhouse, March 16-May 20, 2012

February 29, 2012
Following a highly successful debut, Motherhood the Musical® returns to the 14th Street Playhouse March 16 – May 20, 2012. The original cast will return to 'deliver' more hilarious fun to Atlanta audiences as they humorously capture every stage of motherhood including the changes that happen to the body after pregnancy and nursing, succumbing to driving a minivan and becoming a grandma for the very first time.  Declared as “Engaging, hilarious and touching!” by Variety, Motherhood the Musical is produced by GFour Productions, the team who has successfully brought Menopause The Musical® to multiple international markets and every major market in the United States.

Local actors will return to play the roles of four women who share their insights of being moms – the blessings and stresses. INGRID COLE will return as Brooke, the lawyer, who works too much and barely sees her kids. JEWEL LUCIEN plays Tasha, a single mom struggling to balance work, her family and her divorce.  MARY KATHRYN KAYE will return as Barb, an over-worked, underpaid, stressed-out mother of five and LISA MANULI plays Amy, a soon-to-be first time mom.

Motherhood the Musical is from author and songwriter Sue Fabisch, a mother who understands that sometimes the best way to cope with the craziness of motherhood is to share the experience with other moms. The 20-song musical includes 18 original tunes like the hilarious Billboard Top 10 comedy hit, “The Kids Are Finally Asleep;” the rousing call-to-shoppers, “Costco Queen;” and the tender ballad, “I’m Danny’s Mom.” Motherhood the Musical shares the humorous and loving journey of Amy, a soon-to-be first-time mom; Barb, an over-worked, underpaid, stressed-out mother of five; Brooke, a lawyer who works too much and barely sees her kids; and Tasha, a single mom struggling to balance work, family and a divorce. The show is directed and choreographed by Broadway’s Lisa Shriver and award-winner Johnny Rodgers supplies music direction and supervision, arrangements and orchestrations.

Motherhood the Musical will play March 16 – May 20 with shows on Tuesdays – Saturdays at 8 PM, and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 PM.  Tickets are $45, and are available online now by CLICKING HERE, by calling 404-733-4738, or at the Woodruff Center’s Box Office, located at 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, 30309.
