Forefront Arts Performance Camps for ages 6-14

Join us for an exciting week of Drama Camp that will include creative play, drama games, improvisation, and rehearsing for the big show on Friday! We are offering 5 weeks of Performance Camps for ages 6-14 at various metro-Atlanta locations. Both shows feature memorable characters, fun songs, big dance numbers, and the chance to develop your acting and performance skills.

"101 Dalmatians" Performance Camp -- In a loving home in the city of London, Dalmatian parents, Pongo and Perdita happily raise their Dalmatian puppies, until the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal them for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London, as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. With a delightfully fun score, lovable characters, and one of the most deliciously evil villains in the Disney canon, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.

"How to Eat Like a Child" Performance Camp -- "How to Eat Like a Child" is a hilarious musical crash course on the essential skills of childhood.  Cast members give lessons in such subjects as how to beg for a dog, how to torture your sister, how to act after being sent to your room, and how to laugh hysterically!  Song titles include “I Feel Sick”, “We Refuse to Fall Asleep”, and “Why Should A Child Have to Walk?”  With group numbers, solo songs and speaking parts for those who are comfortable, there’s something in this show for every young performer!

Performance Campers will get to experience the entire production rehearsal process: auditions to find the perfect role for each student, blocking rehearsals, character development, memorizing lines, music and dance rehearsals, and finally, performing the show for an audience of family and friends!

In addition to rehearsing the show, campers will play fun theatre games, learn warm-ups, and do crafts. The camp will expose students to many aspects of live theatre including movement, music, blocking, theatrical makeup, and set and costume design. Both novice and experienced performers are welcome. We’ll work and play hard all week and perform a great show on Friday for family and friends.

Forefront Arts Creative Dramatics Camps for ages 3-5

We are offering 5 weeks of Creative Dramatics camps for our younger performers at various metro-Atlanta locations.

"101 Dalmatians" Creative Dramatics Camp -- Campers will play fun theatre games, do crafts, make up stories, dance to music, and explore all aspects of putting on a show as we rehearse portions of Disney's "101 Dalmatians." At the end of our June and July camp weeks we'll join the big kids for their performance.  Our August camp will conclude with a showcase featuring the Creative Dramatics campers performing several songs from the play by themselves.

"Puppetry" Creative Dramatics Camp -- Campers will play fun theatre games, do crafts, make up stories, dance to music, and explore all aspects of putting on a show as we learn about, make, and play with various forms of puppets including shadow puppets, finger puppets, found object puppets, sock puppets, and marionettes.  At the end of the week we'll perform a puppet show using popular children's books as our inspiration!
