Session 1: July 9- 13
Master Mash-Up
Students will have an inspiring week learning about significant artists and movements throughout history.  Campers will hone their painting, drawing, sculpting (and more!) skills by creating works that mash-up the styles of two master artists. From Pollock to Picasso and Sargent to Signac, we’re going to mix things up!

Session 2: July 16- 20
Time Travel
You won’t hear them say, “I’m bored!” this week! We’ll take a journey through time and discover the many exciting and inspiring movements of art from pre-history to pop art and everywhere in-between and beyond! Campers will explore painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. With Time Travel, there is never a dull moment.

Session 3: July 23-27
The Nature of Art
“Keep your love of nature, for that is the true way to understand art more and more.” Vincent van Gogh
This week we will explore The Nature of Art.  We’ll discover artists throughout history who depict nature in art and those who use nature as art.  Students will not only use conventional means of making art, such as painting, drawing, and sculpting, but will also explore unconventional materials from nature!

This class is wonderful for parents with children in both Upper Camp and Lower Camp, allowing for a single pick-up time.

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Students (limit 10 per week) will have the opportunity to learn the unique and thrilling techniques of working with clay. Campers who select this option will have two one-hour sessions on the pottery wheel.  While not working on the pottery wheel, they will create unique hand-built pieces.

*Additional Fees
** Due to the lengthy process of drying and firing pottery pieces, pottery may not be shown in the Art Camp Friday Exhibition and will be available for pick up one week after the end of camp.
