Local Business Spotlight: Clean & Serve Events

Let Lesley Lyons Help Make Your Party Stress-Free!

September 8, 2010

As the holiday season approaches, our thoughts turn to parties, open houses and good times with family and friends. But planning and hosting a party can be time-consuming and stressful, especially when you have kids. Consider hiring Clean & Serve Events, owned and operated by Mableton resident, Lesley Lyons. Lesley and her staff can help you before, during and after your party so you can actually enjoy yourself and your guests!

Q: How did you come up with the concept for Clean & Serve Events?

About two years ago, I decided to throw a holiday Open House. I did not anticipate 75-100 guests would RSVP. Needless to say, I started to panic. I was sharing my stress with my sister and she offered to come help me with the party. It was the first party I hosted where I was able to spend time with my guests. It was wonderful to have an extra set of hands to help me clean and decorate, serve and replenish food, and clean up throughout the event and after. This gave me an idea for a new business venture, which I finally got around to 18 months later! I truly believe if you are going to throw a party, you should be able to enjoy it. The whole point of gathering with friends and family is to create memories.

Q: What types of services do you offer?

We specialize in party planning, pre-party cleaning and decorating, cocktail and food service and post-party clean-up. We also have resources for catering, babysitting, bartending, DJs/bands, and if we don’t currently offer a service someone needs, we will find someone who does.

Q: Is there a specific size party you serve?

Clean & Serve Events is primarily designed to help individuals hosting parties or other events in their home or other small venue. However, we recently worked a 1st Anniversary Party attended by 75–100 guests in a neighborhood clubhouse. Our client was so pleased with our services she hired us for her sister-in-law’s wedding reception. So, we will consider larger events as long as we believe we can maintain our high standards of service excellence. We service the metro Atlanta area.
