Win 4 Tickets To Atlanta Botanical Garden

See "Scarecrows in the Garden" Through Oct. 31st! Plus Special Halloween Events.

October 4, 2012
GIVEAWAY CLOSED

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is stuffed with nearly 150 wild and crazy characters through October 31st for the 10th annual Scarecrows in the Garden.  (Scroll down to see how you can win 4 tickets!)

The life-size creations, from the witty and whimsical to the bold and bizarre, are designed by metro area residents, artists, designers, businesses, schools, and organizations. Participants compete for prizes in one of two design categories: professional and nonprofessional.

On Thursday evenings, visitors can check out the scarecrows under the glare of flashlights (which they are encouraged to bring) during Fest-of-Ale. Each week from 5-10 p.m. the beer fest features a variety of fine specialty ales and live musical entertainment. During the final night of Fest-of-Ale, October 25, some of Atlanta’s top chefs will square off for the fourth annual Great Chefs of Atlanta Pumpkin-Carving Contest.

For youngsters, harvest-themed activities will be on tap on weekends from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Sunday, October 28th they can don their favorite costumes for a day of treats and activities during Goblins in the Garden from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. It will include a storytelling, the Ride-On Train and a cash bar for Mom and Dad Goblins.

Of course, Macaroni Kid had to get in on the fun!

Meet Macaroni Mama. The scarecrow creation of a busy mom, staying connected with her kids by plugging into her weekly Macaroni Kid newsletter. They're all smiles and ready to head out for a fun adventure each day because they know where to find all of the great, kid-friendly events and activities in the Atlanta area.

Macaroni Mama will be standing tall amidst the scarecrows featured in Scarecrows in the Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden throughout the month of October.
