The Walking Dead's T-Dog Teams Up With Cowlicks!

Get IronE Singleton's Famous Float, The Zombie-Kaze, Oct. 14-Nov. 14. Proceeds Go To Charity.

October 11, 2012
When I'm not busy putting Macaroni Kid together each week, I stay plenty busy promoting my public relations' clients. One of them is IronE Singleton, a cast member of the hit AMC TV series THE WALKING DEAD, which returns for its third season premiere this Sunday, Oct. 14th, at 9pm. Fans of the show know him better as T-Dog!

With Halloween upcoming and The Walking Dead set to premiere, it was perfect timing to have "T-Dog" team up with Cowlicks Yogurt & Floats to create a signature Famous Float. And on Tuesday, after many tastings and trials at the Vinings location, Singleton came up with the Zombie-Kaze! The Zombie-Kaze offers sugar, spice and everything nice with red velvet & cake batter yogurts, a splash of Dr. Pepper, mounds of red cherries and more. It simply oozes goodness!

Order the T-Dog Zombie-Kaze float from October 14 through November 14 (Vinings & Sandy Springs locations), and 20 percent of float sales will benefit a cause dear to Singleton’s heart - the Young Voices United Performing Arts School of Marietta.

A family-operated school in Marietta, Ga., YVU aims to make a positive difference in the lives of the youth through performing arts, so that they may make a difference in the world.

“I had so much fun creating this float,” said Singleton. “I know first-hand the positive impact performing arts outlets can have on kids, and I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to help sustain these programs.”

Growing up in inner-city Atlanta, Singleton faced his fair share of hardships; however, he credits his overcoming them to various performing arts outlets. Because of the influence performing arts had on his childhood, Singleton went on to double major in theatre and speech communications at the University of Georgia, where he also played football. He now enjoys a successful career as an actor (he's perhaps best known for his role as the kingpin, Alton, opposite Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side).

“His passion for the performing arts is so inspiring,” said Daryl Dollinger, owner of Cowlicks Yogurt & Floats. “We are fortunate to have IronE join us in giving back to the community. The Zombi-Kaze provides the perfect way for families to usher in the season, and we look forward to helping pave the way for the next generation of leaders.”
