This brand new program will be held starting Saturday, December 8th at the gym at Nickajack Elementary in Smyrna. The program is for boys and girls ages 6-12 (Age groups divided into 6 to 8 & 9 to 12) and will run for 8 sessions (No play on December 22, 29, and Jan 5). The last Saturday is February 16th.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
All players will have a fabulous time learning more about:
- Rules of the game
- Offensive skills & techniques including: Proper throwing mechanics, proper route running and pass catching, ball carrying skills, and offensive formations & strategies
- Defensive skills & techniques including: Proper covering skills, proper flag-pulling, and defensive schemes & strategies
Ken Sisco, Football Elite Instructor
Ken Sisco will be the football instructor for the winter Indoor Football Instructional League. Ken, a Smyrna resident, is a former All-State and NCAA Division I football player at Princeton (he played with Dallas Cowboy's head coach Jason Garrett!). The knowledge and experience he gained has been invaluable for his own young sons and will now be available to you.
Ken’s passion for America’s favorite sport was so rewarding for him in the past that he instantly jumped at the opportunity to teach our youth athletes at i9 Sports, as well as provide a positive and rewarding experience for all.He’s been actively involved in youth sports not only as a parent but also as an outstanding little league coach for the last three years. Teaching the development of athletic skills is, of course, a given, but it’s the emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and good old fashioned “fun” that have kids so eager to learn from him.
